Always wanted to write a children's book? Got an idea but not sure how to turn it into a story? In these four workshops, you will be guided through outlining, drafting, and editing a short story for children. You will also learn how to work with an illustrator (or plan illustrations yourself) and about pathways to publication, with a focus on self-publishing.  All levels of experience are welcome, though this class is geared towards beginners. Zee is an author, illustrator and educator passionate about helping people find and nurture their creativity.

Auckland Zinefest is back for summer!

Zines (short for fanzines) are DIY self-published works of literature, art and personal writings which encourage self expression and alternative platforms to mainstream media. Zinefest brings a collection of the local zine-making talent and groovy summer activities to enjoy out in the sun. There will be stalls from zine-makers, an ice cream truck, live performances and collaborative workshops.
